Velious Release Date

So I keep hearing rumours around a winter/ Christmas velious. Are these purely speculation? Or is there merit to this madness ? I for one will be really excited if its finally around the corner.

I don't think they can give an exact date because this is just a hobby project at the end of the day. IE if the devs get really busy in Nov and Dec with their own lives then no Christmas release.

I know they have said before the end of the year, but as Bantam said, it is a hobby so if they get busy, they get busy. No worries either way, the game is free so...

They said there hopefully would be a beta test this year. That's a lot different than there probably being a release this year.

Velious will definitely not be out this year or beta would have been announced/started by now. It might be next year, or in 2 or 5 years... I am starting to think Velious is just a social experiment of nilbog to see how long he can keep players on his server just promissing something that will never happen. Its Norrath, not Westeros, winter is far away.
