Default This is the story...

Of a 'little' 55 Monk looking for a port in OT for HOURS, but expecting to 'tip' 2 Peridots in return...

He still is looking for someone to port him... xD

Was bored on my druid and got a random tell for a "quick pickup" in CoM to wherever the hell. Lazy bastard couldn't even bother to zone out to EJ while I ran there. And he was a mage, to boot. I hate mages. "Could you toss me a potg?" Sigh, sure, whatever because 1200 mana ain't no thang. Port to wherever the hell... BAM: 2pp. It was probably purposeful trolling but if you're gonna give someone 2pp just stiff them altogether instead. I was bored, so whatevs, but for reals?

Oh and he was even a HIE mage. And I realllllly hate HIE pixels in some bizarrely unstable way. How can they manage to exude such snobbishness at such low resolution? It's stunning.

why is why I'm always role/anon when playing my wizard or druid or cleric

I don't go out of my way to port or rez people

but if someone asks me personally like a guildie or a friend, I'll help them

but if it's something like 10 feet away at a zone entrance, yeah i got you

but don't expect me to run halfway across a zone and buff you fully

only to get like 20p in tip

If you expect money for your services, you would be best served by naming your price outright. For Example

"Yes, I will pick you up in COM and even buff you. It will take me about 1hr of time to get there plus recover the mana lost, so I will do it for 500pp"

Expecting an unstated quantity of money for your services is stupid. If you're going out somewhere without determining the cost of that help (since you obviously want to be compensated) then you're going to get mad on a regular basis.

Don't be afraid of seeming stingy or petty or money grubbing by asking explicitly for a quantity of money. You may already be all of those things so why try to live a life like you care about some social rules about help? You want money for your time, so make that known and demand payment ahead of services rendered.

Easy fix.

On my character I run around and rez people willy nilly. Sometimes I am rewarded with friendship other times I am rewarded with a handsome endowment but I don't go into it expecting $ when I don't ask for it.

Good luck with your weird blue / green problems.

It's just a story for the lulz. I'm neither mad nor sad.
