I have this problem every time I zone, camp, die, etc. Literally takes me 10+ login attempts to even get into the game. Something is way off for me.

Thanks a ton! This seems to have fixed my problems. Camped out and logged back in about 10 times with no issues so far.

Windows 10 - and I when i try to use the "run programs for previous versions", it doesn't like that it's a batch file...

Yup windows 10 here too and i crash 4/5 and compatability mode doesnt work. SO fucked.

I'm on WIn8 and I get the crash when camping but I also get random crashes constantly... I never got this when I played prior (over a year).

So I'm trying the compatibility mode, but do I choose Windows XP regular, SP2, or SP3?

You need to go to the actual .exe the batch file is pointing to. I believe its eqgame.exe.
Right click that and run in compatibility mode.

I had this problem. Right click, select Run as Administrator. This fixed it for me.
