I've seen one advertised for 25k the last couple days, pretty sure with a bit of luck you can get one for 20k.

So no the price doesn't raise by 1k everyday, or it would be more than 1 million plat already. May be you should tell us how efficient you are at farming plats? Cause I am guessing it is the problem.
Just with a druid lvl 44 porting people around a few hours everyday you should be able to gather 20k in less than a month.

In all seriousness, if you don't have one you should buy one. Turn the plat sitting in your bank into an item that will continue to go up in price at a rate that out paces the rate of inflation.

Also, by buying them for investment you will contribute to the demand driving up the price, as I plan to sell one of my 12 pairs later this week. And, yes, I did put one on each character of both my accounts during the 8 million years we were stuck in Kunark...I only managed to get about 7 HEBs (I've sold 5) though, so I lost out on tons of money by slacking there.

OP didn't give much indication as to the level of your necro. But if you're able, give felwithe guards a try. 21pp at a minimum per mob. Pretty easy to make 1k there, 1k turns into 5, 5 turns into 10, so on etc

What to do?

Plop a mule in EC and WTB for ~20k. Eventually you'll find someone who hates EC and just wants some quick plat to trick out an alt. Nobody who tunnelquests all day is motivated to sell, they're happy to sit around in EC all day long. I bought one last week for 19k, you just have to find a motivated seller/normal person.

Its a great quality of life item and worth the pricetag, just have patience and you'll find one. 51-54 off Felwithe guards pays for most if not all of it anyways, Necros print money while leveling.
