I know the file was fixed on the forums for the classic textures, but I was talking about the upgraded global textures found in this post: http://www.project1999.org/forums/showthread.php?t=2482. I played with it but only got it to show the magic pink color rather than transparent.

I agree that it does look pretty good but the colors are too vibrant. If everything was more washed out it may work and allow the "cleanliness" to be overshadowed by the worn-and-torn faded equipment

I like it. I'm all down for making the old models look better.

Do want, nice work. I agree that adding some weathering effects to add the rugged feel back into the model would be welcome, and possibly making the shadows a little more pronounced too. He's looking very airbrushed at the minute!

Can't even imagine how much work doing this for all the textures would be though. How long did this one take?

Yep on this demo one I didn't want to add anything extra, but it really is TOO clean. If I do this, I'm going to make things a little less pretty even if that means I'll have to change things slightly.

This one demo took 4 hours to do. Considering there are 12 races. A male and female of each race. And 4 types of armor... 96 sets of armor total. Times 4 hours each set... 384 hours... /sigh

Its a TON of work.

I admire your dedication to the cause.

Hint hint.

With Kunark coming out and eventually Velious I would suspect an even larger timeframe to finish everything, and then there's the zones....
