Default WinEQ2 - I feel like I could be getting better FPS.

See attached picture for my settings.
The game feels choppy, particularly in places with lots of water (Ocean of Tears, Innothule Swamp, etc.)
Any tips?

The client is limited to 60 FPS to prevent people adjusting their FPS to not die from falling etc.

Make sure the game is running off of your dedicated GPU (if you have one). Easy enough to tell from opening the advanced display options in-game and seeing what video card it reports.

plug in a 60hz monitor to make the tearing go away
other wise your game will run with your frames out of order
turning on vsync can help with some of this

also in your display or monitor settings you can set your desktop to 60hz refresh rate
so you don't have to get out the old CRT
