This is why political correctness doesn't work. Even if you try to be politically correct, someone may still get offended by something you never would think would be offensive. You'd twist yourself in a knot trying not to step on a political correctness landmine, especially when those landmines keep changing. There was a study done recently on "Trump Derangement Syndrome" and it found that most people who claimed that they were suffering from Trump's presidency were feigning. It was a form of virtue signaling.
The only ones who appeared were actually suffering were latino women.
So either we've had an influx of grifters on social media or they're virtue signaling for social brownie points.
They know the politically correct mob is relentless and eats anyone, so they virtue signal to amass social protection.
Much like a cult works. You want to make sure everyone knows you're a devout believer.
