Default LF Monk Advice

I have slots that are still filled with basic items. Shoes, Cloak, and Neck. I also have no earrings. I have saved 200 PP and am wondering if there are affordable options to fill some of these slot. Any advice for items to hunt for or quests that give items would be much appreciated. This is on a new account I started a few days ago with my brother who used to play back in the day. Again any tips or leads to items I should pursue would be very helpful.

My Monk is lvl 17 currently. Thank you for any help anyone may have for me.

My enchanter can make you good jewelry for your eats, neck, wrists and fingers. Not the best by any means, but good, especially for your level.

PM me if you want details and the cost. The service is free, you just may have to buy the bars and gem.

I'd honestly save your money and buy items you know you're going to wear awhile. Monks can get by with pretty weak gear - weapons and getting a haste item are going to be your top priorities.

6/65 rings (or 5/55 if youre on a budget) are a good option as well.

Back in classic my monk was still rocking some regular newbie cloth items during my first planar raid, so you can really get by with garbage gear for quite awhile. With how small the market is for low end items on this server, any plat you sink into lower end items is going to be a worse investment than saving up for something decent you can eventually resell.

I'd probably snag some rings, maybe round out whatever empty slots you have with some cloth or cheap cure silk, and then start saving up for an FBSS or decent weapon. Just collect items that drop while you're leveling and use those until you can afford more long term items.

If you're not familiar with items you should be aiming for, use the wiki. The monk page will have some era specific load outs, and you can always use the equipment search as well. I'd suggest ordering searches by STA or HP, and of course be mindful of the item weight.

With that money, I would say:

Wu's quivering > Master Wu's Trance Stick(s) > Ac/hp rings

Get those, then focus on getting haste belt or gloves and you are good to go.

Pretty good advice here. Since you're close to 20, get the wus quivering and dont worry about a new weapon until you're in your 40s. Get rings next.

I tailored cured silk for myself and used Wu's Quivering Staff and two Trance Sticks until mid 40s. HP rings and weight reduction bags are great too.

If you want to see some item sets as well as some individual items that you can shoot for, I have some listed in my guide.

If you are looking to buy earrings, don't waste your time with anything except Orc Fang Earrings. Those will last you basically forever.

But definitely follow the others advice about getting Wu's Staff and some AC/HP Rings first.

Well thank you for all the advice. Albeit came a bit late. I am currently level 42 and going. Saving my pp for a adamantine club, or maybe just saving. Thank you for the advice again and it's been a pretty fun ride this far.

P.s. If anyone has a FBSS or adamantine club or even a fungi tunic for cheap to a dedicated duo let me know we are in the market. Haha take care all.
