New player - npc question

I'm new to everquest. Ive watched some youtube videos of gameplay on teal server and ive seen people at level 1 buy from the npc palais derekor, who the wiki says has no faction, yet she will not sell to me and I'm at a loss at how to get her to like me because she is the main npc who sells the cheap bags in the zone. Anyone able to help me out here?

If your a dark elf, I dont know why she wont sell to you. But, if you only need bags, there is an ogre in nektulos forest named Blurgurg or something like that also sells bags.

Or, go out, kill some spiders, start tailoring, and make your own. Making bags is not that hard.

I recommend saving up extra coin to buy Medicine Bags from the Shaman vendors in Oggok, Grobb, or Halas. They cost twice as much as Backpacks but only weight 0.4 while Backpacks weigh 3.0. Each storage container has eight slots and can hold large items.

What's your class and religion? What does it say when you /consider her?
