made it to the charcter select screen, after 2 more log in crashes. crashed again, now i have to risk the dam server select screen again....meanwhile the group gets 4 mobs and needs me....WHY WAS THE PATCH A GOOD IDEA?

yup. Crashed again. Login, then crashed again at character select screen.

Well before we can really identify the problem why not have those that are having this issue post their dxdiag? Maybe we can look for commonalities between them?

well i can BARELY zone on red, like 1/10 tries is successful

but on blue literally works every zone. maybe has to do with char ui file or something

2 crashes (please re-run patch up date) trying to log in when i woke up. Now 2 more crashes 1 zoning into EJ, and another from the char select screen.

today i am zoning perfectly fine, probably 20+ times every one has been fast and fine on RED

Ok, I am going to assume whatever was wrong has been fixed. There seems to be a short delay now instead of the instant zoning stuff, but the crashes have gone back to what they normally were and the overall zoning is still faster. I just want to thank whoever did the fix!

I used to crash a lot on zoning until I set the eqgame executable compatibility mode to XP version 3. Also, I set to run as administrator.
