On live, the gladiators were actual GMs/players. They also had the PoSky Belt iirc.

The first part is correct. There are accounts of some servers having GMs/guides with poor Internet connections and lagging during the event, going link dead, or not turning on auto attack. In those instances the match was restarted.

I haven't run across any evidence for haste belts being put on the gladiators.

I'm going off memory which has served me pretty well in the past here. With that said, I'm not naive enough to expect changes based purely on my recollection. I'll try digging, but this isn't something I expect to find anything on.

I would recommend putting the 41% haste belts on the Gladiators just to shorten the fights some, otherwise some of them may take twice as long.
