Default Pet damage % vs EXP gain %

While I know on live you need to do 51% damage to get full exp, is that still going to be the case on green when it launches?

You don't need to do 51%, you need to do >50%. You will on green as well.

Wasnt this patched into Blue significantly after launch? I am unclear on if it was classically un-shared xp (100% xp even if pet did 100% damage) but that is how it was early on in blue, until the nerf.

It was changed to be classic, not to correspond to a change on live.

I do hope they will have a list of changes but I am sure they won't. There was definitely a time that pet's did not steal XP on live. But just because that is the case does not mean P99 wants to put it in for a short period of time.

Yeah I've been looking for this as well. I played a Necro and when I started people were complaining about pets stealing exp like it wasn't a thing that happened before, so I must have arrived soon after that. I know in 2002 they dropped the whole thing and as long as you did 1 damage you got full exp.

To be clear, this only matters if solo right? If you’re grouped it doesn’t matter how much damage the pet does?

Also when solo say you don’t do more than fifty percent damage, does that mean you get no exp, or just reduced exp?

The mob has 10 hp, your pet hits it for 9 damage and you dismiss the pet.
You do the last 1 point of damage. you get full exp

or another example with no dismiss

the mob has 10 hp your pet does 4 damage and you do 6 damage
you get full exp
