Spells: Harvest

Level 34 Wizard spell Harvest should be in the game at this point and it still isn't. I know it was not an original spell but this spell came out at the same time as Intensify Death so I don't understand why Wizards should not have access to it...

Increase Mana by 171 (L34) to 326 (L65) this is the effect of the spell in Velious I believe, I do remember that recast time was 10 minutes and that it stunned you for 10 seconds.

Bump. This spell was introduced prior to Kunark. Shouldn't it be in game now?

Harvest wasn't in game before Kunark. I remember this clearly since I had played a Wizard since Beta to the end as my main. The only thing I could quickly find was this snip, and having level 52's responding as to the bugs, well yea.

Good catch. It seems Kunark was released in April of 2000, and that patch note is from June of 2000.

I thought it was essentially the same time, as I played a wizard main as well.

They threw in the spell after some of the Developers saw the raid encounters and how the Wizards needed a baby lift. That got the ball rolling to becoming one of the best raid classes!

Technically Kunark was launched on March 25 on this server so the 2 month mark would be at least May 25th. My guess is that if you see news about a patch in late May then this is when you will see the spell.

The updated Kunark guide that came out in August of 2000 also had Harvest in it but that image provided in a previous post really nails down the timeline to within the first 2 months of kunark.

Long story short, Harvest not being in the game now is not a bug... but very very soon!
