Unique =/= Good

Kedge, or any underwater encounter in EQ is pure, unadulterated ass cancer. A zone that is completely underwater is stage 4 ass cancer. Even the evac point in this hell-hole is among the most retarded design this game has ever seen, dropping players smack in the middle of 4 mobs. "Oh, are you in dire trouble and need to use this highly situational spell designed entirely to remove your party from a shit-storm? Well here you go... another SHIT-STORM!"

It got my vote.

Dying in Kedge is a right of passage, like all original dungeons.

In era the evac point was butcher or fay anyhow.

Lesser Fay.

As said in the thread that prompted the poll - does anyone ever do anything in LFay besides hug the zone wall on the way to Mistmoore, kill the Nybright sisters, or run away from brownie scouts and/or the dumbass unicorn?

Dagnors gets 2nd and SoNH gets 3rd for basically the same reason. They are just wastes of space that exist to slow down something and add either unnecessary danger and/or unnecessary tedium.

WK doesn't seem so awful if you can succor. It is an enormous, desolate zone, but at least it doesn't feel broken the way Kedge does.
There was that 'one weird trick' involving camping at the river just as you zone in from NK... that popped you across the zone.

That damn ogre camp killed me more than a few times as a nooblet on live.

None of which addresses the critique of the current zone. If dying in Kedge is a right of passage then the passage is meaningless because everyone has died there... dozens of times. The current evac point is a room in the zone with four mobs in the room where you spawn and several more right outside. So if you get into trouble, there is practically nothing you can do but bend over and take it.

I feel like Nybright sisters and things like the Brownie village and unicorn(s?) make LFay better than Dagnors and Swamp. Low levels can go there for at least the one camp. Bakers get a place to farm parts for chocolate. I'm going to push again for my vote of Swamp of No Hope, which fails as a zone in every way.

It is shitty for experience.
It is shitty for loot.
It is shitty to look at.
It is shitty to travel through.

It is a shitty zone!
