Default Necros and Lull

Whats the deal with this. Like every piece of necro gear has - cha on it. I have 67 charisma on my necro. Charming is fine for whatever reason, appears to have little if any impact. Its the fucking lulls. Crit resists are a guarantee with my cha stat. If you tell me to carry a cha set i will punch you in the face.

Resists are based on relative level and the target’s magic resistance.
Critical resists are based on cha.

But you can’t get a critical resist if you don’t get a resist! The game checks “resist?” before it checks “critical?” So if you’re mostly lulling blues and greens, it often works out fine.

Also, you’re right, charisma does not affect necromancer charms. Druid neither.

Ty for the clarification, I am indeed lulling(or trying to ) blues. The crit resist rate is like 25 %. Its getting me killed. This is a 37 necro in Lguk. So i guess i just need a few level to lower the resist chance overall.

Relative level will help. Some "blues" are one level below you. That's always tougher. It's tougher for charming, too.

If you haven't already, one thing you can do is put more distance between you and the lull target, or lull from the other side of a wall, so as to buy yourself time to FD. hth

Yeah, it definitely feels backward that Necromancers get so much negative cha on their gear when the lull depends on positive cha.

Get ready to punch me in the face.
Carry a crude stein and a kobold jesters crown and your over 100cha. If your doing lots of lulling not carrying a couple basic cha items is kind of working against yourself.

It never gets easier, either. Even at 57-60 I was running into problem with Lull in Howling Stones North (level 46-49 mobs)

But, I did get really good at kiting the mobs around while I wait for Feign Death refresh
