Upon handing Aksot the token that Rykas gave me, he took it and kept walking. I got the experience and he asked something like "Where did you get this?" I hailed him and then said Rykas. He went on about the words of Magi'Kot. None of his key words were in brackets. He still responded when I said them, but I had to guess at what he wanted me to mention.

No, I don't have anything. I thought all the quest NPC's like him had text that was bracketed.
