Blackended alloy is post runny-eye revamp that happened during the velious expansion. And has already happened on p99.

can confirm blackened iron bastard sword was the one all the new players in the oasis were talking about first couple months after launch. "that thing hits for higher than 40!"

Yeah I would say so. Plane of Sky was patched in about 9 months after the original EQ launch and before Kunark came around. If you are not going to count Sky as classic you may as well not count Fear or Hate either since Im pretty sure they weren't available on day #1 either.
