When you are around 12 go to Wisp Island (boat stops there on the way to Odus). Kill wisps and save the Greater Lightstones. You can turn them in to the gypsy in NK for about 10p each (might be 12p, I don't remember exactly).

Blackburrow is your best option until your mid teens. Collect all the gnoll fangs you find and turn them into Lysbith at Warrior Guild in Halas.

Why not Qeynos?

I turn them into the warrior guy at the balcony of the arena in Qeynos as well.

Yeah if you turn them in at Qeynos you get free beer that you drink or sell. Win/win.

If you turn them in to the Qeynos guy you get moonstones which you can take to a guy near the docks and turn in for a hair more exp and blackburrow gnoll stout and some more factions.

My mage is killing wisps at level 8, with the fire pet - you should tear through them at 12.

Gnoll Fangs until low to mid teens, definitely. I'm honestly surprised that more characters aren't rolled around Qeynos as opposed to the EC area. You don't need 50 druid buffs to get through those first levels quickly and efficiently.

My Mage went to soloing in Unrest after those levels, but he was a gnome so that was just convenient.

Erud's Crossing is definitely a viable choice to finish off the teens if you enjoy whacking little balls of light. Then, if you don't mind going for a swim I believe that you can hunt sharks until the high teens.

Yea, I couldn't remember what level I went there. All I know is that I flew through levels there.
