Default Where to find early game Monk gear.

I'm running around with a cracked staff currently, which areas/dungeons would have gear for a noob?

Upper guk.

Netted, woven, mesh armor is a nice progression as you level up.

Weapon-wise... save up bone chips and HQ animal pelts (especially bear which are worth more) to sell to players. Turn spiderling silks and low / medium quality pelts into leather padding (is that still worth anything?!).

Once you have a few dozen pp buy some knuckle dusters or a wu's quivering staff. People will ask for 200, but they'll accept like a quarter of that or less. More of these items drop in a day than there are monks rolled.

Spider silks can be used to make raw silk/cured silk/wu's if you want to level up tailoring. It's good to get tailoring to 26 by turning ruined hides into armor before you attempt to make raw silk.

Or if you're open to having an alt just make a druid > join Dial a Port > Gear Monk. Monk is just a garbage first class to have to make PP. Not saying it can't be done, but for a true noob you're fighting an uphill battle.

I'm with Jimjam on this one. The server is so mature that medium tier gear goes for peanuts. Start with some bone chips so you can buy a reasonable weapon. Then get a mage to summon you some weightless bags to loot up weapons and duel corpse them before you log. A few k of gear will easily get you to 46, and at that point you can join a guild and mooch some Coldain armor, 21% haste from sky, IFS, etc.
