Steamfont crashed a few minutes ago. The kobold camps are spawning a lot slower than they were before the crash, which is even slower than they were spawning last night. Hope this hasn't actually changed and it's just a function of server population.

It was definitely some kind of dynamic coding the past few days. I would sit on a double gnoll spot..... sometimes 60 sec respawn, sometimes 3 minutes. would be interested to hear the system but probably for the best to keep it private.

I was talking to someone today who was grouped with the first level 10 on the server. Apparently what happened was they set up a script to decrease spawn rate based on people leveling up. The moment that guy hit level 10, mobs globally started spawning at normal rate level 6 and above, before that guy hitting level 10, all levels of mobs had fast respawn.
Now that someone hit another level, the script went off again. | ||
