Default Jewelcrafting Trivial Levels

What's the accurate source of information on the Wiki? The item's specific page or the jewelcrafting tradeskills page? There are multiple items where the trivial levels on one of the pages are different from what they are listed at on the other.

P99 itself hasn't had consistent trivials for it's entire history: stuff got fixed when people figured out it was wrong. As a result, even if people didn't make mistakes (and of course, they do), there's still plenty of genuine-but-conflicting/wrong info.

Unfortunately the only way to determine which is which is to test it yourself. In theory though whichever one was edited more recently is probably more likely to be correct, so you could always check the history.

Thanks. There also appear to be a number of items in the lower end (like in the 60s to 70s trivial level) requiring gems that can only be acquire pretty much from non-classic drops (I think some of them also have Phinny as a dropper as well). Do you happen to know if that's accurate?

If so, that essentially means that for jewelcrafting from like 63 to 70ish you just have to fail a million times trying to skill up on a recipe 10 points higher than your current skill level?

Don't make the mistake of using high value gems for the low trivials - jump up to the next value of metal instead. For example Electrum lapis lazuli (per the wiki) will get you to 76 skill at 2.6pp per try, less sell backs.
