Not well, rogues get wrecked hard by mobs and don't do substantial damage.

Not great. Shaman could solo better. Now add a tank or monk and you have a nice trio tho.

In this duo, I believe that you'd want the shaman to "tank" and maintain agro by using slows (and even flash of light). Once the mob is slowed, you two should be good for at least eating-up some blue cons.
Gotta agree with Evia that things would be better all-around if you added a 3rd for a more-proper tank-- this would allow the shaman to meditate and canni-dance

Rogues duo with druids, necromancers, rangers, SK, and bards a little better. You want snares or tanks mostly.

Shaman (shamen?) duo well with a lot of classes, but rogs don't bring much to the party when to comes to duos sadly.

What's wrong with you all? Root the mob, shaman hugs... rogue stands back.
Profit. | ||

Shaman/Rogue is a great duo. Shaman roots and/or slows mob and tanks, while the rogue backstabs.
I guess you could do some sort of 'shaman kites the mob while the rogue chases them trying to melee' but that sounds like a huge waste of time and would only be doable in larger spaces. It's just not fun or easy to hit mobs moving away at full speed.
