Gate Spell
Level 4 Necro in Freeport. At L4 I am supposed to be able to buy the Gate spell but I cannot find a vendor. None of the Necro merchants in the East Freeport tunnels list it and I am confused as to where to buy the spell. Can anyone assist me please?

There is a list of merchants who sell the spell at the bottom of the page. Click on the npc and there are usually locs on those pages you can use to locate the npc on a map. | ||

If non-iksar you can get it in Neriak.
If iksar (likely)... I'd get a passer by in West Freeport to run into the caster guild there quickly for you and bring it to the front gate. Shitty but you can't not have gate ^^

Thank you Ralexia but I have tried all those npcs you refer to and they do not list the Gate spell. Swish2. I am a Human Necro so presumably I am non-iskar but the Caster Guild in Freeport tell me to get out and, as I mentioned to Ralexia when I go to the Necro npcs they either offer to train me (which I've done) or they list all the spells and Gate is not listed. Really strange!

It must be a general bug. I used a spare Cleric and found Gate in the Temple of Marr and as I was leaving another player gave me 20G and asked if I could buy her Gate as she was experiencing the same issue. So all solved now thanks!

It's not a bug. Sometimes you can't buy your spells and you need outside assistance. This is the main reason to play EQ over another modern MMO...
