Blizz shut down Nostalrius..../shrug Yet excaliburwow that has a cash shop is still running strong along with god knows how many other wow private server. If i recall there is a written agreement between p99 and daybreak. But hey. If you like playing EQ live set in early 2000 content with the option to pay2win and content all the way up to current on the way go for it. The best thing for the life span of Phinny was the fact they pushed back the roll out of luclin and PoP to keep the server alive longer then another year.

The only WoW private servers currently running are ones Blizzard doesn't care enough about to take down or ones that are hosted in certain countries with laws that make it hard for Blizz to shut down. P99 I believe is hosted in NJ? Definitely in the US. So that's a different story.

I mean... Nostalrius was a MUCH more successful (Numbers wise) private server than P99 is. Blizzard decided they didn't like it and it disappeared over night. A lot of us witnessed it first hand. How exactly is that any different?

Oh I am? I seem to remember acknowledging this agreement in like my first post on this subject. I never denied that Daybreak knows about P99 and agreed to look the other way and allow P99 to exist.

Yes Daybreak acknowledged P99 and is allowing it to continue as of now. I said this early on.
