A search of the archive for "a dropped journal" turned up this rather spectacular Ayonae Ro forum with hours of logs of meetings discussing in-game events in the summer of 2001.
I grabbed the journal excerpt to quote below but there is a lot more to unpack here.
This has bits of the Lanys T`Vyl and Plague of Bertoxxulous events scattered all over it.

4th Gathering of the Council
The last sundays meeting was kind of short and also not many new informations came out.
These very few new informations lead unfortunately many people to lose interest and not show up.
However it is critical that you all are aware that we are expecting the festivities in Greater Faydark and with them the first big attack after the patch on May 30th.
This is TOMORROW!
The silence cheats us. We ARE at war and we NEED to be ready. We hardly have new informations but this if because we had excellent scouts that found out most informations already and since the last week simply nothing of real importance happened.
We are also still waiting for Firiona Vie to return to Felwithe with the enchanted stones to summon Tunare. We expect this to happen before the patch. Not much time to go for this thou!
We assigned more people to the armies and we have sent people to the cities of Ak'Anon and Cabilis. Also our existant scouting team will still be active and we have many scouts placed in the Faydarks to be informed asap once something happens.
The next meeting is set up exactly during the time we expect the festivities to be so it is critical as many people join as possible.
Get your armies, guild and yourself in gear, get ready. Now we really almost just can WAIT and be prepared.
The next gathering of the Council will be hold again besides the gates of Felwithe City towards to Lesser Faydark. The date is Friday, June 1st at 3pm PST, 6pm EST and Midnight CET. Make sure you join. We may already be in battle by then and even if we do not KNOW anything for sure, we strognly assume to have many news by then already.
