This shopping-mall state has gotten too big for its britches-- and the average shopper doesn't have enough money to spend.

If your country is a glorified shopping-mall according to its policies on border and citizenship, well then, they need to be able to participate in the shopping-mall state in order to be a true American citizen and live out its full fledged rights in the pursuit of happiness.

We call this ad ad hominem. We've been doing that with these kinds of shitty arguments for several thousand years now. The term was invented by Aristotle. He also claimed that if there wasn't a sufficient welfare state (like the one in this country after WW2) the government would collapse into a dictatorship.

I'm capitalist bc i like free markets and the ability to deal in currency. I also don't like putting more power in govt. but some more socialist leaning economic reforms will absolutely be necessary to avoid a costly revolution. pay people more.
