Game Mechanics: Starting with 5 in 1h Slashing

In vanilla I'm sure we started with 1 in all weapon skills.

Not sure if it applies but made a dark elf warrior <3

This is a later era change. At launch characters were unskilled.

the new player that might forget to train with their weapon before

As a necro I started with 5 in piercing, thought it should start at 1 or 0 instead?

I put up a bug report on this a couple weeks ago. Should be zero in all weapon skills for everyone.

I also had a troll sk with 5 in 1hs to start

Nilbog had previously stated that weapon skills not starting at zero is a client issue, no fix in place at this time but maybe one day
