Default New patch broken on MacOS?

Having replaced the patch files with the newer versions, P99 loads for a bit and then crashes without opening any windows when launched via WineSkin.

Anyone else having this problem?

I am! I was just coming to the forums to post about it. Wineskin opens in the dock then goes away! I had avoided updating my macOs several patches ago because I heard it caused issues, but was wondering if now I need to update my MacOS. /shrug

I'm currently on 10.14.6 Mojave. I see a supplemental update is available - I'll install it and report back.

If I had to guess, I bet the problem is case-sensitive filenames. Common programming mistake when porting between Windows / UNIX-y systems.

The OS update didn't change my MacOS version number, nor did it fix the problem with P99 not launching.

Next, I'll look for a copy of the last patch files and do a diff to see if any config filenames changed. Maybe some path strings in the config files aren't capitalized correctly, causing the loader to fail.

Nothing obvious in the diff. I also see that new/revised patch notes were uploaded a minute ago; I have installed them, and am still getting the same bug (loader crashes before opening any windows).

In Program Files/Sony/EverQuest, my dbg.txt hasn't been modified at all since applying the new patch. The last "Starting EverQuest" log is from before I applied the new files.

I use the EverQuest_V45 install to run on mac, however EQ will no longer load after this new patch. I've narrowed it down to the file dsetup.dll that seems to be causing the issue. Client will still load after adding every single other new patch file (albeit the char screen loads as human and tells me files are out of date) until dsetup.dll is added, then it just stops working. Please help!
