EQ Permadeath is indeed like RL mode. Would be cool as someone mentioned having no rez in game (even revive).
Each death maybe you lose a level completely (i.e. lose amount of exp to gain a level you are currently in). That would make hell level death horrible. Anticipate you'd have more evacers in groups, people would group more to make up exp, less soloists, more full groups in dungeons, potential more cash drain on gate pots / WC cap recharges, etc. That being said, it would be a CSR nightmare from all the petitions. If you make it no CSR then griefers will just train you to death with level 1's. So doubt it would ever happen.

Permadeath servers only work if it’s pvp of course. No one will be raiding any DT mobs. Permadeath could be feasible on a blue server possibly if the exp was accelerated 1000% and no hell levels.
