Stange chat box issue
I use the DuxaUI and have without any problems. For some reason now I am having an issue with text in the chat box. I have a friend who is stating that he is sometimes not able to see the last letter in some of my chat text that I send him.
Example: If I sent this "Can you see everything now" he would only see "Can you see everything no" In the example above, the "w" is being cut off. When I type, I see everything in my chat box. Just wondering if its an issue on my end or his? I have resized that chatbox making it wider. I switched back to the default UI. I have reinstalled a fresh copy of the game and DuxaUI, everything seems fine on my end. Yet it still appears to happen. Just wondering if anyone else have had this issue and what you did to correct it. Thanks...

I knew I had seen this before, but it doesn't look like it was ever resolved, and is the only other instance I'm aware of:
https://www.project1999.com/forums/s...d.php?t=379235 Have you tried changing fonts? Is it only in /tells? Do you see it replicated in your logfile? Is it just the one friend? Could they possibly have your chat going to a different window / chatbox that isn't quite the right size? Grasping at straws here... - could they just be messing with you? Edit: - oh yeah, you do reboot on occasion, right? Does the "missing character" issue also occur when mouseover text isn't working? -Mcoy

I have it too. I also know a few other people who have been affected. When people are using /auction, for example, in EC tunnel it seems to be noticable especially when the prices are quoted without a pp suffix. It was a shame really as I'd have liked those items at a tenth of the price. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Same exact thing with me. Unfortunately I just live with it.
I use DuxaUI too. Same thing happened to me on Windows 10, now I'm on a Windows 11 machine. I've copied the whole Everquest folder from the 10 to 11 machine, and it happened on both, so it must be something in the folder messing it up. Doesn't happen with every sentence though, but the last letter is cut off every two or 3 sentences. I'll get a tell..."That mob is mea", when then person typed "That mob is mean". Just have to guess at the words sometimes.
