Default Another freeze/lockup/server login issue...

I play on green. My game has been super stable for months up until yesterday when I decided to remove Steam and all its components. Now when I start the game I’m getting a lot of server blank screens/can’t connect to server or empty char screens. Also zoning I’m getting a lot of freezes, like instead of the loading bar I get the cursor with the round spinning icon for extended periods of time so I just X out of the game completely. A few kick to desktops too.

I noticed all this after removing steam and possibly (accidentally) clicking something in the windows 10 task bar options. Not sure what the deal is. Anyone else have something like this happen?

My system restore failed when I tried that to 2 days ago so that’s out. Was thinking of maybe a system reset where it keeps files but gets rid of all the apps? Scared to try that though too.

Thanks!
Renlaan

more than likely you can reinstall direct x and it will be fine.

in the future to try and help with issues like this, you can partition a smaller area to just the os.
i personally have a 128gb ssd for just my os, and two 512gb ssd's in raid 0 for all of my files.
you can do the same with one drive and a partition manager. take a 1tb drive and set aside 128gb when you install windows. you can do this with the windows partition manager during install.
Partition Manager before Install
with this handy tool you can make physical limitations on the drive so you don't have to buy additional drives.
if you can move your files off of the windows disk, so you can do a reinstall.
while you are doing a reinstall, use this tool to keep the os seperate from your files.
that way you can reinstall your os any time there is issues. since windows is about as reliable as bubble gum holding down a weld joint.

I assume that the problem is synchronizing your Steam game account data with the game files. I have never deleted the application, so I cannot say this, but this is exactly the thought that comes to mind according to your description.
It would be best to be careful when deleting data, especially from the hard drive. My friend somehow accidentally formatted the disk when he just wanted to clean it of garbage. I had to contact HARD DRIVE RECOVERY. It was possible to restore the data, but no one will return the nerves spent.
And why did you decide to delete Steam? It's a convenient platform for buying games.
