Default Requirements

Hi guys

So I have been playing on my laptop for some time now and the lag I get can get quite bad which made me think of what are the min requirements for p99 /eq to make sure you don't get loads of lag

My laptop is nothing to amazing it's a Compaq CQ60 has a AMD sempron 2.1mhz 4gb RAM has Nvidia geforce 8200m...

I have comparability mode and most things I can think of turned down...

I know this is an older laptop and hopefully next year I will upgrade to something a bit newer.. is there any other settings maybe I can turn off or down to help with lag? Normally happens when I'm places like EC tunnel or swarm kiting but sometimes I just happens when no NPC or PCs are about

Spec-wise your computer seems plenty powerful to run a game from 1999 (or at least 2006, when Titanium came out).

Does it still have problems when you have Chrome closed? Because Chrome will chew up as much memory as it can in the background, and sometimes that can cause issues.

Ryzen 5900+, 3080 RTX min, 64GB RAM, and of course at least a 850w PSU to overclock to hit the minimums.

(But for real, even a $400 cell phone out specs anything you'd need for EQ.)

You use WinEQ2 or anything similar? helped me out before.

If you get lag while AE kiting, you should try to fix your method. As long as you dont have the mobs in screen, you should be fine even with like 100 things behind you. EC tunnel and other places where there can be like 100+ people in one spot will still lag even the mightiest of systems due to poor 2000's optimization.

Yeah someone did mention wineq2 might have to give that a try

I just seem to get alot of stuttering when in groups and stuff normally it's inside where problems come from

Have pretty much everything turned down to assist but still get a fair amount of lag

Laptop I use I only really use it for eq . I'm using windows 10 but have compatibility mode set for win xp if I remember
