On Linux systems, a case-sensitive file system means that the replacement DSetup.dll and the original DSETUP.DLL have different file names, and WINE tends to serve up the old one. You have to delete the old one or rename it (something like dsetup.dll.old) and that's what stopped the error for me.

Did you install to the default directory? if so move it out of c:\program files (x86) to something like c:\sony\everquest then repatch and try again.

From the beginning, I placed the Titanium download in separate file "EQ1999".
The Titanium download is in eq1999 and the P99Files47 patches download into the EQ1999 file also.

Example the EQ launch desktop icon is C:\EQ1999\eqgame.exe patchme

Started having this issue about a year ago after some Microsoft update...I just started to miss my Everquest again.
