This is some of the more hilarious shit I have seen on these forums. Damn good summary sir. Rather than just quote peeps left and right, I'll add my two twigs to this now smoldering fire: The tactics exhibited by the BG members were in poor taste, but legal. There is no dispute in this, either from a player perspective or GM perspective (as we saw form Sirkens ruling). While I don't approve of preemptively stealing the preferred pet in an attempt to deny another guild a kill, I do understand why it was done. Fairly clever really. The AG players, intentionally or not, broke the rules. Period. What was visible on your client is irrelevant. What your intentions were, is irrelevant. The rules were broken the instant the first spell landed on that dog, an NPC already engaged by another player. The classy thing to do would have been to apologize, break charm, and attempt the fight without the pet, or charm something else that was available. Now, I have been away form the game for around a year, coming back only in September. As far as I recall, AG has always been a guild that tries to stay on the right side of the rules, and I personally have never seen them attempt to skirt the rules for their own gain. I know next to nothing about BG other than that Mana left AG to join/form/whatever BG. While the opinions of the various leaders may be neutral to each other, it is clear some guild members (and officers) have some seriously salty feelings towards each other that extend far beyond a frankly insignificant lodi attempt. Y'all need to kiss and make up. Petty bullshit like this only serves to tarnish reputations. And as stated above, AG largely stays out of RNF. For good reason. Lets keep it that way. Dreenk317, I am still laughing over those memes. Thanks for that.

As soon as I see ONE player march up to a mob camp area I am at, I 100% expect them to try something sheisty and I am on high alert waiting for them to try something dirty. You been here WAY too long to not be the same way as me. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] The problem here is being a grizzled veteran yet feigning ignorance of other's behavior on this game/server. This sounds very disengenuous. Basically BG played dirtier than you, and won. Also to note, both parties tried to win the ever-important encounter with the Legendary Summoned Sirken. When BG won The Favor of Sirken through master mob-lawyering, the situation was brought to RnF for some fun and with hopes that some vindication would be wrought out of it. TL;DR All I got from this thread was you need to up your dirty playing and not be so upset when you are outplayed via dirty tactics. I also learned Manasana types out very long raging run-on sentences and is a neocon that hates liberals. And, I learned some of BG are masters at playing dirty so I will be on extremely high alert anytime I see this guild near any valuable mobs I am trying to camp. | |||

I thank the ForumQuest gods for this thread, all you should be kissing Grizluk's feet right now! Soooo much entertainment in here.
A true RnF gem amongst imitators. This scenario is like a Roe v. Wade ruling across the lands of Norrath... is purposefully killing a mob in order to facilitate the death of 2 players just to gain loot on a mob they are engaged with within the confines of the play nice policy? Conversely, when engaged in battle, is it not a smart move to take out your opponent's arsenal to swing the tide of battle in your favor? What general would not endorse this maneuver? A true paradox the lands of Norrath has never seen, nor never will again. I think Sirken got it just right, despawn Lodi, no loot for anyone. Moral of the story: if you don't work together to resolve disputes, no one comes out ahead. Also, for all you guys claiming Grizluk is throwing his wife under the bus... just stop. That is very personal and accusatory, and frankly you are just trying to cause RL drama away from the keyboard. Don't talk about another man's wife, be a decent human being. Even if you feel that is really the case just stop, why cause any RL strife? This is a freaking game people, calm yourself. Lastly, everyone is losers in the story since Lodi is cancer. P.S. I'm in AG P.P.S. I heart Manasana, he recruited me into AG. He is responsible for leading multiple open plate house events for greed / recruitment and Gwurm farms that were NBG on spells for all. He cares about helping folks out and gets a rush from it. P.P.P.S. Grizluk and Meah are solid people, a lot of you are taking a dump on them unnecessarily. I'm willing to bet a lot of you are nice folk in game but have gotten into camp disputes that you feel you are in the right on, yet others feel you are scum for. Judge not.
