Will Project Thomas Source Ever Be Released?

Although cancelled this project might be interesting.

So long as there remains no instancing or insta-travel as well as relying on other train engines to complete quests and progress through the island of Sodor.

It would be nice if the code was released so we may finish it and enjoy a true classic Thomas the tank engine.
