Default I need some computer advice.

I bought my wife a laptop for Christmas.
Now, incase she wants me to use it, I want to install some games on it. It doesn't have enough disk space for much and I was wondering if I slipped in a sandisk thing with gobs of gigs, would I be able to run the games off of that memory?

You folks are my go to for this kind of issue, as yer so savi and all.

Thanks.

Ya. Saving and loading could take time with a modern game. Absolutely fine for shit done in the 90s

OH YEAH!
I ordered a 120 gig sandisk from Amazon for less than 30 bucks and loaded wow up on honeys less than 300 dollar laptop puter. I did the whole down load and install on the sandisk. It loads faster than the 4 year old desk top!!
Thanks for the help.

Nice. Wow is pretty old. I remember loading stuff on like the first version of USB. It was clunky. Glad it's working out.

I am resubbing my wow subscription. If anything just to run around the old zones at max lvl.

I noticed foliage sways now when I run through it on lower graphics settings. Pretty wild. The game looks nicer on my old tablet than it did on my duel GeForce desktop in 03.

One weird thing that happens with wow on a USB that people report is things render in strangely or late more often, or players render in before their names or info. Get ready for any non rogues to seem like stealthed rogues popping in on your head lol

Uhh...are you referring to an SD Card? If so I would highly suggest against it, especially for games such as p99 if you have logs turned on. What I would suggest (if you are not looking to spend much) is just a Kingston SSD, they are relatively cheap and you can get a USB to SATA adapter with it, all in all spend maybe 35 dollars and its tremendously faster read and write times and you also do not have to concern yourself with repeated reads and writes onto it.

I mess around a lot with SD cards because I own like six Raspberry Pis and I have switched all of them to Kingston SSDs and I can attest that the performance is stunningly better.

I already have the sandisk in and it is working well. If it goes south I will sure consider yer suggestion.
