Default p99 via mobile

local shop is selling off some laptops cheap, and now its spring, am thinking of crawling out from my basement dungeon, after ive eaten all the current sex slaves, and heading out into the world of the norms.

I dont use a mobile as they just a waste of money and time.

However am thinking of using a mobile to connect to the net while out and about.

IF i go to somewhere with wifi, ill end up drinking beer and spending loads of money.(spoons obviously)

I realise that eq has small packet data, so it wont burn through a monthly data allowance?

WOuld 2gb of data allowance a month be enough? about 20hrs play a week, roughly

ANyone in uk recomend a package....i dont need voice calls, side of things just data connection.

whos the best supplier? can i rasp pi to connect to the network ratehr than a mobile?

5mb/hr is pretty accurate for soloing and farting around in game. In a group it'll probably go up to about 7-8mb/hr. Raiding and EC are probably going to take you closer to 10mb/hour, but even at those rates it won't be EQ that eats up all of your bandwidth, it'll be all of the apps that are constantly running in the background on your phone.

I played on a dongle for a while, didn't go over a gig in a month. Not by a long way. Even with some wiki/forming.

Like others said between 5mb to 10mb/hour for an MMO, MOBA's will run about the same. It's when you get into ARPG's that it starts to really gobble up bandwidth.

Do you mean a plan that throttles your speed after you hit the 2gb cap? Because you'll not notice much difference (at least I don't) after you start getting throttled in game, its only when you try and hit up a website that you really see the speed issues.

I pass my 2.5gb tmobile cap every month, currently at almost 10gb, and my latency is the same in game either way. It's only when I need to DL updates (thanks PoE) that i see the 15kb/s crap.
