Default Server Question for a P99 NEWB

Hi,

Been playing timelocked PoP on live and really enjoying the retro gameplay, so decided to check out P99 and get the full experience lol!

Question is this, everything I was ready talks about Green, Blue Red servers. I've read and understand what the differences are. What I'm confused about is the MANY MANY MANY other servers in the list. I can't seem to find any information about all these other servers? Like "Project Lazarus" sounds intriguing, also high population, but what's it all about? And that is just one example that caught my eye.

Is there somewhere that lists what all the different servers are and what they are about? Some seem somewhat self-explanatory, others not so much...

Thanks!
-Scud

So p99 is an EqEmu server (or are 3 servers).

There are a bunch of other people who also host their own servers on eq emu, but those aren’t p99 servers.

Most of them are basically private playgrounds and sand boxes. A few of them are ‘practice/training servers’ of p99 guilds. They all have a bunch of different eras/content.

Many require their own specific patches.

A popular one, which I believe plans to run up to PoP is Quarm, for example, and actually uses an older client (i.e. older version of the everquest program the player runs on their computer).

I hope this explains things a little more clearly. The home page of p99 includes a sidebar with a link to eqemu http://www.eqemulator.org/
