How bad are Rangers really

I was in a group last night with an uber-twinked Necro.

Elder Beads + Shissar staff, etc.

Holy shit.

He pulled the entire dungeon. He healed everyone. Charmed a pet. Mana-free damaged every mob.

It was insane.

Then again, he was uber twinked, but still.

Sometimes that's needed.

Not everyone is in a perfect, cookie cutter 6 man group.

Rangers are fine, they parse above monks (unless abashi) and right around/below rogues on raids.

Our last LTK one of our rangers used a BFG. Short fight, about disc length. He still beat a lot of people and some monks.

Not to say using on a rooted mob is ideal but he beat me by like 400dmg as well. Yay RNG and prob a few nice crits.
