i wasnt on a batphone back in velious, but during luclin and PoP our guild would instant message and actually call people for high priority raids. I remember being very pissed that someone forgot to call me for rallos zek, it was the last raid I needed for elemental planes and I had to wait another month and a half to get flagged. Sad times

Log off your characters at the raid target you want, set up a phone relay with everybody else that shares the same goals.

This should reward the people that spends the most time in game getting ready for raid targets, which should be the one actually getting them.

Exceptions:

Having a job: where you can't just log on at any time of the day to kill a dragon, especially when you make a lot of money and work 60 hours a week, more hours than that during holiday weeks.

Having a girlfriend: When spending time with her often prevents you from being able to log on and kill a dragon at any time of the day. Because people who prioritize raiding over sex, can't get sexxed.

Having a social life: Where your desire to abandon reality, to log on and kill a dragon, is low priority. Sometimes friends aren't pixelated, and sometimes you can travel places that aren't inside of your house.

And by the way Professor X, it has nothing to do with time spent, the only person who qualifies that remark is the tracker(s). Having no life away from a keyboard; allowing you to log on to Everquest at any moment's notice, is what qualifies the situation you cited.

This reminds me of the neckbeards arguing that casual players don't put "effort" into the game. lol, if you think it requires "effort" to play a video game, let alone be so serious about it that you pride yourself on your character's /played time, then this is more than a game to you, and your attempts to shit on a "casual" player will never mean anything. Because we "casuals" go to bed, and wake up and go to work the next day, and you stare at a virtual wall constantly checking the forums hoping to piss someone off [You must be logged in to view images. hah, I hope you're kidding. According to your wise sage words, you will get more raid targets by logging off your characters, not by spending time "in game".
