Hey nopenopenope do you have a soft cap on your AC?

Also a bad thing happened but for a good reason in my lil town. Christmas/streetparty postponed cuz we got 6 months worth of rain in a day. Luckily our council has spent money wisely on infrastructure so the flood waters barely wrecked anything important. Some people got minor garage flooding.
Zero power outages. Zero deaths/injuries.
Dam at 100%

Overall id swap a shitty street party for a dam full of water.

Also got out of mowing lawns.

Edit
Wow your light shows are awesome. Worth going out to see.
Re the gals: You dawg you.
lol took me a bit to get the first joke but I eventually got there. Woulda been quicker but pretty hungover today [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Last year’s light parade we got DUMPED ON by some freezing cold rain. I wish they would have preemptively canceled it because that kinda sucked. Luckily no floods though damn! When you get rain you really get it

Yea for a free show it was a lot of fun. I just felt bad because people had gotten there hours early and put up chairs on the sidewalk, and my group who got there drunk and late (I was drinking rum and some juice from some girlie yeti container or whatever those are) was corrected multiple times to not stand up at the edge of the sidewalk because the people who were sitting behind us couldn’t see

Well eventually enough procrastinators like us showed up where there were dozens and dozens of people standing up blocking the people sitting down who got there early’s view

And at that point the girls especially in my group who were more drunk than me adopted a “monkey see monkey do” attitude to do the thing we were told not to do. But I continued to look behind me and step to one side or another, and turn sideways to try to avoid blocking the people behind me. Even if it meant not being able to yell conversation over the music at times, I went out of my way to make sure the only thing I could see behind me was concrete wall

Sometimes I feel like I’m the only person cognizant about other people around me [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I guess it became an interesting social experiment because the entire time my brain was yelling at me “I don’t care if everyone else around you is doing it, it’s still fucking wrong, don’t do it!” But I kept my thoughts to myself

Just finished hiking the w trek in Patagonia’s Torres del Paine park in Chile. About 80 kilometers and 2700 meters elevation gain in 4 days. Weather was awesome the whole time.

Now off the El Chalten on the Argentina side for more!

Finally got around to getting my truck repaired from when I was rear ended last Nov. dropped it off at the body shop and the staff gave me a ride to the rental place

My insurer, State Farm, agreed to cover the rental ahead of time. But the very hot young rental car lady warned me that State Farm only covered the cheapest rental. I said no worries, I’m not picky, as long as it’s not like some little clown car, laughing…

….the gal wasn’t laughing. She was like “welllll it is a compact car”. And it WAS some tiny fucking clown car thing. So I was like “oh no this will not do”. And she said I can get into a larger sedan car by paying the difference out of pocket or call State Farm back and nag them to cover it

So of course I called State Farm back and said look I’m 6’1 (really I’m 6’0….) and I can’t get in and out of a compact car. So State Farm upgraded my rental to a sedan

And the cute rental car lady said I can choose from a Malibu or a Dodge Charger. I was like oh I’m taking the charger for sure. It’s a 2022, she didn’t know the horsepower, and I asked if there was a “sport mode” setting I could toggle on and she wasn’t sure. But she assured me it’s fast. I joked I might just keep this and abandon my truck, always wanted a charger. She tried to upsell me into the $19/day coverage and I said nah, I only plan to drive it to and from work and to put some aftermarket parts like nitrous on and race it on weekends in the illegal races in [city where they are]. I shouldn’t need coverage for that

Driving back from the rental car company I’m like….

this happens (happened?) a insane amount, there are motor trend articles and shit written about it.

was trying to find the story on vinwiki of the guy talking about how much money he made racing a rental legally at tracks in cities he was in due to work, was a literal money cheat because i forget the term for the type of racing but its more about consistency than being the fastest / quickest, like if you go too fast you get disqualified for going over your target

and he'd rent the same model from hertz everytime and use his kit and nail the exact time every run and just take dude's money.

ended up getting a national hertz ban when people started writing articles about him
