Mead, why I get so much deltoid engagement on incline. I barely feel chest

Plx halp
Check your incline height. Sometimes people go too far up. Then you start working the delts and shoulders more.

Try using dumbbells if you aren't.

You can also use the smith machine with the incline bench and a closer grip. This will also allow you to customize your setup (between bench and grip) to get the target focus.

Also almost done with my deployment, just a couple months left. Got into Olympic lifting a month ago and am obsessed with it. I still can't overhead squat all the way down but I feel improvements in my form every day. Up to 161 when fasted, which is big for me. Haven't played EQ in 7 months so I'm feeling pretty healthy over all

I use dumbbells often, but please elaborate by height. You mean how high I’m sitting on the bench, or the angle of the bench?

The angle

https://athleanx.com/articles/inclin...press-mistakes

TLDR = 30 degree angle is optimal

Yes, exactly. Sorry, angle was the better word.

I do 30 degrees. Still feel delts when I’m using the bar. With dumbbells, generally I feel chest engagement
