Default Enchanter Starting Stat Allocation

Saw some people discussing it on the Reddit and one commenter proposed some options for High Elf that I was wondering about. Also wanted to get thoughts on High-Elf versus Erudite and starting stats for Erudite.

High-Elf Options:
- Traditional 25 CHA/5 INT
- 25 CHA/5 STR
- 20 CHA/5 INT/5 STR
- 20 CHA/10 INT (or, alternatively, split evenly between CHA and INT)

Erudite Options:
- Traditional 25 CHA/5 INT
- 25 CHA/5 AGI
- 20 CHA/5 INT/5 AGI

I know people say that you can cap INT easily in later expansions, but for the Classic era is it easy to cap INT at higher levels? If not, how much more mana does 5 or 10 extra INT really give you? Is it worth it to sacrifice CHA for it?

Do you think the 5 STR for a High-Elf is important for quality of life?

For an Erudite, are they really lagging far behind in the CHA department if you put 25 into CHA? Does the extra 10 CHA (if you went 25 CHA on a High Elf) really make that big a difference?

1-50 I'd say that INT really isn't all that for an enchanter.

As for CHA, unless the stat is treated differently in early classic, it definitely means the most for enchanters. May as well beef it up from the beginning, as it is also easy enough to swap some of those items out later for +MANA/+HP without sacrificing the most important stat too much.

I generally roll HE and do 25/5 Cha/Int. I don't think it's worth agonizing too much over alternatives.

My line of reasoning:

1) CHA is obviously the most desirable in terms of Quality of Life. The more base you have, the less itemization you need, and the more you can spare for hp/ac. Higher base also helps make CR's less daunting, although that can also be mitigated with banked "oh shit" gear.

2) 5 STR is what? 1 more fine steel item, maybe? You have low STR. Use the buff(s) and get WR bags.

3) 5 STA is what? 12 hp at 60? Just put the points in INT and itemize well.

The ONLY time I think it's worth doing anything else is on an Erudite, I would go with 25 CHA/5 AGI to avoid the naked AC penalty.
