Like seatbelts on an air plane. An illusion of safety. When the plane comes crashing down at a 60 degree nosedive at 550 miles per hour, seatbelts wont help.

You illustrate a good point though - Not understanding the purpose of something might lead you to say something silly about it… … kinda makes a fella wonder, don’t it?

I personally refuse to use seatbelts on the airplane. And yes, I demand that they let me on anyway and not violate my freedom.

Asking your doctor about nontraditional treatments and therapies doesn't make you a nazi or anything else. It's ignoring the advice of experts when it doesn't line up with your politics that makes you a fucking moron. The two are not the same.

One modern example is the nigh-universal plastic water bottles. I won't use them. The water coming out of those always tastes like plastic. There is no way you'll ever convince me that those things aren't going to prove to be another "oops!" years or decades from now when the experts figure out they were wrong all along and drinking plastic is indeed bad for you. With respect to medical treatment, someone has to be willing to take the risk and be the human guinea pigs so we can get the data to see what happens. That includes both the vaccines as well as alternatives. Danth
