The hate isn’t specific to you, as you may be able to tell from their username it is their universal modus operandi. We love them anyway. Even more than that we love your helmet(matron!) so do please share your WIPs.
You're just trying to be nice to the individual instead of telling them the truth. That looks nothing like a helmet. Go show someone in real life and see what they say? If that was tattooed on someone people would be looking for his scalp lol.

If you could please explain what specifically, in terms of the helmet, is off, then I’ll admit defeat. Otherwise everyone knows you’re a troll

Calm down Picasso, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. This forum has some really good artists, who do some really great work. Unfortunately I think your work is sloppy, your wings are sloppy and it's very unclear what it is. Show that to a random person and they couldn't tell you what it is. Zero shading or anything.

You put zero work into this and don't even lie. Anybody congratulating you on this is doing it out of pity.

Don't let the troll get you down. It looks like a perfectly nice sketch of an ornamental helmet. If it was me I'd model it in 3DS MAX (or Blender) and render it from there.

Ahhh ok I see. I see the disconnect. We’re at a complete misunderstanding and that’s partially my fault. The helmet is not a finished work of art at all. It’s part of a process done by artists to make paintings. You draw the lines of the thing you want to paint and then transfer it by printing out a copy and coating the back with charcoal. Then you get a ballpoint pen and draw over the copy on top of the canvas or whatever you are using and you get an exact replica on your painting. From there you clean it and add the details and textures etc. so this is not something I’d show and say oh look a completed work, the only thing at all I wanted to show was the lines which will be filled in with textures etc., like a stencil. I’m so used to just being on my own with this process I assumed everyone knew which if you’re not an acrylic or oil artist is highly unlikely. Yes it’s sloppy lmao I didn’t make it perfect on purpose because it’s getting painted over. All of the scuff and random lines you see will not be transferred . The right wing will be fixed of course. For some of my finished drawings not sketches I’d show the below. Bottom left is barbed dragon scale boots and the rest is my take on Kael armor for my wood elf warrior, forum link won’t work so just click the below for Imgur

Also the process sounds weird so here’s the guy I learned it from. Fast forward to 1:40 to see what I’m doing. Keith Parkinson himself did this for the EQ box art, I’m nowhere near as good as the master but link also below at 1:20

Fuck me infectious, your name is both well chosen and annoying.

Well done.

Ai could've did the same drawing and you wouldn't have wasted a week of your life. You really have to prioritize your life. Could be out working instead of doing silly napkin art.
Classic post from the guy whos trying to stop bowquest from being fixed, 10/10
