Tbh as long as we have the only base in the developed world that does not believe in large scale international science (climate change) I think the news will continue to play down these natural disasters.
We have the only people in the world dumb enough to believe fossil fuel campaigns spending billions yearly misinforming people while those same fossil fuel corporations released info in the 80's that climate change was real to their own business.
