Haven't had to time look at it recently but I think it is an issue with the EQClient.ini UISkin=velious and the individual character.ini files and their dependencies on each other. Client forces UISkin=velious so I think if you use anything but, it will crash. I dunno exactly yet though.

I changed the eqgame.exe to run in windows XP service pack 3 under compatibility.

That fixed it for me.

This used to happen to me frequently. It seems to have stopped since I started playing in WinEQ.

That is where the crash happens in dbg.txt and it doesn't happen on every character, only some characters.

Seems to be a corrupt memory issue or something..

I only had the issue on one more character, and I fixed it by just replacing Shawkab_P1999Green.ini with one that is actually working. I did the same with UI_Shawkab_P1999Green.ini but it only worked once on fluke.

So the issue seems to be more Shawkab_P1999Green.ini for example, yours will be the name of your character obviously.

So after replacing it with one that worked, it fixed the issue but to test if that was the issue I just returned it back to what it was, and it was still fixed.

So this leads me to think it is a corrupt memory leak/error something to where it had something wrong with it in memory and just by changing it you kind of do a manual refresh of the memory.
