Default 2 x Wurm Slayer...explain

1.) I am just not educated on this sort of thing. But can someone explain to my why wurms can be Dual Wielded? When will this be nerfed? Will it be nerf?

2.) Can anyone provide a good link that has an in depth discussion about weapons in the Primary vs secondary. (IE: Do you have the slower weapon like a wurmslayer in primary or secondary)

3.) Is DW wurmslayer overrated? What if you are using an FBSS or other Haste item? Still overrated?

Thanks guys!

On #2:

The damage bonus is much more effective with faster weapons (for 1H weapons, it's an absolute damage bonus, not based on delay). For example, a 10/20 weapon will benefit more than a 20/40 weapon.

Fastest weapon in primary, best ratio in secondary.

That's the general rule of thumb, but discretion should be used. For example, if you were level 30 and had a 15-25 weapon and a 8-24 weapon, you definitely wouldn't want to put the 8-24 in your main hand even if it is faster, since the ratio on the other one is so much better and your damage bonus is very small at that point.

There are also other things to take into account when dealing with dual wielding weapons.

First, in order for that rule of thumb to be valid at all, you need to actually have the damage bonus (level 28 or higher). This also assumes that you wouldn't do more damage with a 2H weapon, if that's your goal. If your goal is hate, two proccing weapons might be better (with procs that are conductive to getting hate, such as stuns and snares).

Dual wield Wurmys is not overrated at all. There's a reason they got nerfed eventually in live.

Soloing in KC as a warrior with dual wurmys is pretty cake starting at about level 52. Put disciplines on top of that like evasive, mighty strike, etc and you're basically a killing machine with dual 2 handers.

That said... they hold almost no aggro so they are very weak for tanking. Even when getting crippling blows of 500+ dmg for 30 seconds straight almost any spell will pull the mob off of a warrior.

I guess that kind of answers #3... from a warrior's perspective.
