Surname Generator
Hi all,
As a serial altoholic I put this little app together to help come up with surnames for my characters. As the name combinations expanded I thought "hey maybe other people would like this" so I got polished it up a bit and hosted it somewhere. https://knightlyname.com/ It generates surnames based on a list of prefix and suffixes I thought were vaguely fantasy related, does a bit of filtering to get rid of obviously bad combinations, and prints out a random set of them. There's 53 thousand some combinations at this point and I seem to add a few more name parts everyday so it's been growing consistently. Feel free to give it a whirl and hopefully it's useful to people on the new green server! Be advised I'm just using some free hosting right now so it might go down if it gets too much traffic. If that happens it should return in 24 hours. | ||

Fun!
I would never steal anything from someone's site and put it on the wiki ... but if you don't want to have to host that, and you'd prefer to have it as a page in the wiki ... let me know and I can make it happen.

This Warhammer fantasy name generator has served me well in various games. Though a different universe, the dark elf/human/lizardmen/etc names all sound pretty good in a Norrathian setting [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] I had an old one bookmarked that was GWS-approved too, but I can't seem to find the link right now.

I got the name Redass from the in-game EQ Fantasy Name Generator on Live. Used it. Played for 13 levels until a GM froze me and changed my name to Reandol because my name was offensive.... zero interest that the FNG created it....

This is a fun tool. I read through a bunch of generated pages last night and got some awesome and some humorous names. Thanks for sharing, I love community built tools!
