Default 1920X1080 Resolution

Is it possible to run it in full screen mode as 1920X1080, and if so what do I need to do to make it happen ?

OK, next issue, I got it to switch to 1920X1080 windowed, but as soon as I click Full Screen it goes to a black screen over half of my monitor and then crashes... any ideas?

goto 720 then 1080. Also your native resolution has to be 1080 as well or game gets pissy.

play around with eqclient.ini in notepad. You can set custom resolutions there and edit tons of other settings, like whether or not the game starts in full screen, etc

I would recommend just playing in a custom windowed screen resolution and fit it around your task bar. This client does not play well in true full screen, you will experience issues with clicking the bottom of your UI and it will tab you out during gameplay.

This. I run a laptop at 1920x1080 and a 2nd monitor on 1600x1200. I set a windowed resolution of something like 1920x960 (I forget the exact number as I'm on a work computer ATM). This gets me the best of all worlds: I can switch back and forth between programs on the second monitor without issue, and I can still use my taskbar on the laptop, but my entire laptop screen (except the taskbar) is full with a very wide EQ client.

Be sure you set the windowed resolution though (there are several).

Make sure your desktop is also set to 1920x1080.

Put your res for fullscreen and windowed at the same 1920x1080.

If that doesn't work start at 800x600 and work your way up.

So, I MAY have fixed the issues I was having I moved my "Project 1999" folder from C:/Program Files (x86)/Sony/EverQuest/Project 1999 to C:/Project 1999 and that seems to have fixed the issues and I am able to run it at 1920X1080 at both windowed and full screen mode. I will take into consideration what has been said about running it windowed and try to figure out a windowed mode I like that still allows for the tool bar to show.
